North River Racing is based in Vancouver, Washington - just across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon. We participate in US Cycling Federation (USCF), Oregon Bicycle Racing Association (OBRA), and National Off Road Bicycling Organization (NORBA) events. Our team roster fluctuates yearly with a mix of around 30 team individuals in all categories, such as Juniors, Women, Men, Masters, Clydesdales from beginner/Cat 5 all the way up to former Cat 2 racers who race Masters categories. We’ve placed well in many regional events and all locals. Portland International Raceway provides Monday /Tuesday night road bike / mountain bike short track racing, and Wednesday at Mt. Tabor we sharpen our criterium skills - satisfying our mid-week race cravings.
The Team actively supports the Washington State School for the Blind (WSSB), through volunteer work and fundraisers (including our yearly Vancouver Courthouse Criterium Race). We are cycling advocates and welcome new racers to join us through references from the team to help promote fitness, camaraderie, racing development and fun. Anyone is welcome on our weekly group rides to support training for our members and provide a social gathering for people who just love to ride. While sometimes the pace is faster than a normal cycling club social ride, often there will be a good mix of most levels. Many of us are members and ride with the Vancouver Bicycle Club - a family oriented local cycling club which provides hundreds of fun rides year long.
